DFB-Akademie is a knowledge database that gives scientific and professional information to football players, trainers and staff.

Approach and process

The challenge

The DFB-Akademie (German Football Association) publishes lots of scientific articles about football. We needed to make it easy to access this content on a new website.

Design solution

We built a modern web portal with a strong focus on the database. A card-view design shows how much content there is, letting you scan it easily. Instead of complex layers of information, all the articles are clustered in small, digestible sets.

Testing

Later in the project, I sketched a prototype for a new navigation. This was used to test an early version of a new design.
